Fuerteventura Property
We have assembled some very useful information aimed at helping anyone looking to buy property in Fuerteventura.
Fuerteventura has two main tourist resorts and therefore two main areas where property is bought, these are Corralejo and Caleta de Fuste.
Corralejo
Firstly and longest established is the Corralejo property for sale market. Corralejo is situated in the very north of Fuerteventura and has plenty to offer. Firstly there are plenty of beautiful white sandy beaches. The town itself is well layed out with a nice main street close to the beach with a great variety of shops, restaurants, bars and many of the Corralejo estate agents. The town has a nicely sized port with plenty of small fishing boats, excursion boats that sail regularly to the beautiful and unspoilt island of Lobos that lays just off the north coast of Fuerteventura.Caleta de Fuste
Caleta de Fuste has a very different look and feel to Corralejo. It is located about a forty minute drive down the east coast of Fuertevnetura from Corralejo and only a ten minute drive from the Fuerteventura airport. It is also close the Fuerteventura's capital of Puerto Rosario. Caleta de Fuste has one main beach, a golf course and shopping centre plus a thriving property for sale market with a good selection of local estate agents.Other areas of tourism in Fuerteventura
The west coast of Fuerteventura is very beautiful, rugged and unspoilt. It is a real 'seek and ye shall find' sort of area with some great beaches and local towns. The south of the island has a lot of German tourism but again there are some fantastic beaches and great little areas waiting to be discovered.Fuerteventura property overview
Fuerteventura is the fourth most developed of the Canary Islands and has a character and climate different to all the others. It is a very relaxed style of island with the focus on the beaches and the outdoors. The pace of life is slower and easier than the busier islands. There are now good ferry communications with Lanzarote from the port in Corralejo, to the West Sahara from Puerto Rosario and to the other Canary Islands and Cadiz in mainland Spain. The airport is to be found about one third down the east coast near to Caleta de Fuste. Property for sale prices are comparable to the other islands and appreciation is good, plus possibilities to rent out accommodation to earn an income from tourism.
